Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. Contact Forms
When you contact us via our website form, we collect and process the data you submit, such as your name, email address, subject, and message, for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
All contact form submissions are stored in our internally hosted CRM system for customer service and documentation purposes. This system is operated solely by us on a secure server within the EU. No data is shared with third parties.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures).
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images.

Who we share your data with

This website uses the Privacy Suite for WordPress by Complianz to collect and record Browser and Device-based Consent. For this functionality, your IP address is anonymized and stored in our database. Automated decision making and profiling
We use AI (OpenAI) for automatic spam identification submitted through the contact form. The data sent for evaluation is limited to the affiliation (company name) given, your E-Mail domain (suffix behind @-sign), the choices for the request type you made as well as the message body. This information is processed for plausibility and coherence. The result of this analysis will be stored alongside the data you entered in our systems.

Data Processing during application processes
We collect and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of filling public positions at LMU, ensuring a lawful review of applications within the application process, and being able to make a sound candidate decision. The data provided is recorded, stored, and processed electronically. In particular, the following data is collected:
- Personal data (first and last name, date of birth, address, school-leaving qualification)
- Contact data (telephone number, mobile phone number, fax number, email address, social media profile links)
- Education data (school, vocational training, university studies, doctorate, habilitation)
- Data on previous professional experience, training certificates, and employment references
- Information on other qualifications (e.g. language skills and computer skills)
- Application photo, where applicable
- Additional data required for the position to be filled
The personal data you submit is used exclusively for processing your application for the advertised position. Only persons involved in the application process will have access to the data. All people involved are obliged to maintain confidentiality.
No unauthorized disclosure to third parties or transfer to third countries will take place.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely.
For users that register on our website (if applicable), personal information provided in the user profile is also stored. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (except usernames). Website administrators can also view and edit that data.
